Leadership

hr

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock,

among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers,

to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Acts 20:28

Our leadership is made up of our pastors, elders and deacons who are called and equipped to oversee the ministry of the church and shepherd God’s people.  Our pastors and elders look out for the spiritual needs of the congregation.  Our deacons lead us in ministries of mercy and physical needs.

Pastor

David Long

Pastor Long came to know Christ as his Savior and Lord as a teenager growing up in central Indiana.  While attending Indiana University, where he earned a business degree, he also grew in his love for Christ through the ministry of a Christian campus group.

Sensing a call to pastoral ministry, he attended the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, PA where he received his Master of Divinity degree.  He was called to pastor the Lafayette Reformed Presbyterian Church in 1984.  He was ordained and installed as pastor in July of 1984 and has served as pastor here ever since.

He is married to his wife Jenny and they have 5 children and 4 grandchildren.  In addition to preaching and teaching, Pastor Long and his wife oversee our Purdue CORPS ministry.  Additionally, he is actively involved in the ministries of our presbytery and denomination.  He has served for many years on the board of Reformed Presbyterian Global Missions.

Associate Pastor

Keith Evans

Pastor Evans came to faith in Jesus Christ at a young age, having been raised in a Christian home and taught to live a life of repentance and faith from his earliest memories.  When in High School, mentors began encouraging him to consider full-time pastoral ministry.  Sensing that call upon his life as well, he attended Grove City College in Pennsylvania, earning a degree in Psychology and Pre-Seminary, in order to pursue the pastorate.

After college, he attended the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where he was also employed as the Director of Admissions, earning his Master of Divinity Degree in 2011.  In August of the same year, he was ordained and installed as the Associate Pastor.

Pastor Evans is married to his wife Melissa, and they have 2 daughters.  He and Melissa also help oversee the Junior and Senior High School Youth Group.
